True to Maverick form, we challenge tradition and give you BARNBURNER ONTARIO CRAFT WHISKY. LOCALLY SOURCED. LOCALLY MADE.

BARNBURNER begins as fine Canadian corn and rye whiskies which we barrel age for 3 years. At that time, science meets art as we carefully blend, and then add even more character by a double-aging in virgin Kentucky bourbon barrels at the Maverick Distillery for a further 3-6 months until the we have a very smooth whisky, with a slight bourbon character and the rich colour seen through our signature bottle.

After all the attention we put into our whisky, we don’t like to take anything out. We don’t chill filter prior to bottling, in order to leave as much of the richness, body, and flavour in the whisky as possible. We bring our whisky from cask strength (67% ABV) to our signature 83 PROOF (41.6%) which maintains a greater depth of flavour.

Double aging results in a soft and balanced whisky, with notes of vanilla, caramel, rye, sweet bourbon, apple and pear, and a hint of woodsmoke. Round and medium-bodied palate with a silky smooth finish.
